It is our view that an effective fundraising working committee is vital to the life and financial well-being of HAU. The functions of this committee are varied but center around information, building relationships and raising money to meet the specific organization's special or ongoing needs.
Joan Kelly (BOD member) was appointed responsible for the fundraising at HAU and therefore she established a Fundraising Working Committee (FWC). The reasoning behind this is that the members of this committee are passionate and serious about raising funds for HAU and would like this to be done in a professional innovative and up to date manner to maintain the integrity of Hospice Africa Uganda and establish control measures, transparency and put safeguards in place on all our fundraising activities.
